Visual Arts junior Lilly Shurbet is featured in a new music video by Birmingham rock and roll band Delicate Cutters. The video highlights the band’s new song “Tilt-A-Whirl” released in August on the group’s third album called Ring. In the video, Lilly portrays a teenage girl home alone listening to records on a rainy afternoon. However, as the weather grows worse, Lilly must take precautions to protect herself and takes shelter beneath a table in her basement until the storm blows over. Band members Janet Simpson, Chance Shirley, Brian Moon and Kevin Nicholson also make cameo appearances in the video.
“It was a lot of fun and good to learn about the filmmaking process,” Lilly commented. The video was directed by Chance Shirley and filmed during a six hour process, she said.
The video can be seen at http://blurt-online.com and the album is available through Skybucket Records.
