Congratulations to the following participants in the 2012 French Convention on November 5, 2012. Rankings represent the following: “Supérieur” (first place), “Très bien” (second), “bien” (third) and “mention honnorable”. When a student exceeds the standards of a “supérieur”, a “Grand Prix” may be awarded.

-Individual oral (Lucy Jones): Très bien, originality and best traditional material.
-Extemporaneous reading (Vinzent Wesselmann): Supérieur;
-Individual oral (Gwenafaye McCormick): Supérieur.
-Extemporaneous reading (Jasmine White): Grand prix;
-Individual oral (Cami Diaz): Bien;
-Group oral (Cami Diaz, Jasmine White, Caroline Sassaman, Jimmy Nunn, Sarah Kirsh, KaLeah McDaniel, Janan Jaraysi): Prize for originality and best traditional material.
Level IV (although no French IV class is offered, these students worked outside of class in order to participate):
-Extemporaneous reading (Muna Al-Safarjalani): Très bien;
-Vocal solo (Jessica Maya-voice- and Caitlin Edwards-violin): Supérieur;
-Individual Oral (Karyn Ding): Certificat de participation.
