Summer scholarships are available to ASFA students who are currently enrolled in grades 7 - 11 for programs directly relating to their specialty areas. Scholarships usually do not cover full tuition, in order to help more students. The deadline for submission is April 1 of each year for the following summer. Awards by the Scholarship Committee will be made by April 30.
-Students should request a written recommendation from their specialty department chair to be emailed to the Foundation office.
-Students should have financial need. Mr. McCurdy will confirm.
-Students should submit the name of program, address, dates attending, and cost with each request, accompanied by a parent letter verifying their knowledge of the application and commitment to financial needs not covered by scholarship.
-Students will write a letter of thanks to the donor at the beginning of the fall semester.
-Students may be asked to report on their summer work at a Foundation Board meeting.
-In rare circumstances do students receive funds greater than $1,000.
-Scholarships are largely given to students only once.
-Students with academic or disciplinary infractions are not eligible for summer scholarships.
-Student financial accounts must be in good standing.
