ASFA Music Department rakes in recognitions

Congratulations to the following ASFA vocalists and ASFA musicians who made All-State!

The following vocalists made the 2022 All-State Choir:

The following nine ASFA music students made the 2022 Alabama All State Band Festival which will take place in Birmingham January 20-22. 

Gold Band

Andrew Robertson (11th ), lead alto saxophone

Parker Hull (11th ), lead trombone

 

Silver Band

Jordan Wright (11th ) 2nd trumpet

Marek Ledvina (11th ) 4th trumpet

Ty Fancher (11th ) auxiliary percussion

Bronze Band

Middle School Band

Nzingha Fluker (8th) 2nd trumpet

Ethan Brown (8th ) guitar

 

Congratulations also to three other ASFA music students who won recognition at this year’s state auditions for the Music Teachers National Association:

Eleventh-grade cellist Igrainne Hill placed as an alternate in the Senior Strings Division.

Ninth-grade pianist Conrad Feng achieved Honorable Mention in the Senior Piano division.

Ninth-grade pianist Darrina Johnson also placed as an alternate in the Junior Piano division.
