The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity held their 2023 local chapter talent hunt at the Carver Theater and it was a total ASFA sweep!

1^st place $1,000: Diana Nazarenko, 12, viola

2^nd place $750: Andrew Robertson, 12, clarinet

3^rd place $500: Jasmine Young, 11, clarinet

ASFA students also competed in the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity regional talent hunt in Huntsville. From a previous competition Darrrina Johnson, 10^th grade piano major and Andrew Robertson, 12^th grade clarinet major had been selected to represent the Alpha Phi and Eta Epsilon chapters respectively. The competition was an Alabama and an ASFA sweep with Darrina taking first prize ($1,500) and Andrew earning 2^nd prize ($850).
