ASFA Math-Science senior Dexter Gard has been accepted for membership in the Randall Research Scholars Program (RRSP) at the University of Alabama. RRSP is a nationally recognized undergraduate research program which pairs exceptional students directly with leading research professors. Only 40 positions are available each year, compared to over 300 National Merit Scholars in the freshman class, so competition is fierce. The program has been cited by the National Institute of Education as one of the six most intriguing honors programs in the United States and was the first university-wide undergraduate research program in America.
Gard will receive a full scholarship for his undergraduate time at UA.
