Dreama White

Welcome. I am in my ninth year at ASFA, currently a member of the Math/Science specialty department where I teach Honors Biology, Research Fundamentals, Human Anatomy & Physiology, and Introduction to Neuroscience. I reestablished ASFA's Division C Science Olympiad program and, in only my second year as head coach, led the team to their first state win in Alabama and first trip to Nationals. Go, ASFA, go!

I earned a Master’s degree from UAB's Department of Neurobiology and have 15+ years of experience as a researcher in various labs across UAB's campus, including Behavioral Neuroscience, Physiology and Biophysics, Neurobiology, and Immunology. I love science as a whole and encourage my students to see the wonder and power of science in the world and ourselves.

Fun fact: I originally joined ASFA as the Spanish teacher, teaching levels I, II, III and AP for six years prior to moving into the Math/Science program. Podemos hacer todas las cosas. :-)
