Emma Noble (11th grade) competed in the American Legion Oratorical Contest and won first place at the 23rd district, 2nd division, and Alabama state competitions.

 

Emma will go on to represent the state of Alabama at the national competition taking place April 22-24 in Indianapolis. As part of the competition, Emma was required to give a 10 minute prepared oration titled "The Power of the Executive Order: Because I Said So!" and a shorter speech on one of four assigned constitutional amendments.
